MINISTRY OF LABOR WITH SAUDI AIRLINES LAUNCH A VIDEO ON RIGHTS OF EXPATS IN 9 LANGUAGES

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has launched an initiative aimed at introducing the rights and duties of expatriate workers in nine languages ​​through an introductory video on the screens of Saudi Arabian Airlines. Trending :Service charges fee from Jawazat

SAUDI ELECTRICITY TO ISSUE BILLS FROM AUGUST 9th TO 15th FOR THE JULY MONTH

The Saudi Electricity Company announced that the process of issuing consumer bills for the month of July to subscribers in the residential sector will begin on August 9 and continue till August 15 respectively. Trending :Saudi Airlines display rights of expats in a video in 9 languages

PENALTIES ON HAJJ VIOLATIONS FOR NOT HAVING VALID PERMITS

SAUDI AUTHORITIES ARRESTED 116 INDONESIANS FOR ILLEGAL HAJJ TRAVEL

SFDA WANTS RESTAURANTS & CAFES TO DISPLAY CALORIES WITH ITS FOOD BY 31st DEC 2018

CHANGE OF KABA KISWAH IN MAKKAH

The black covering cloth of Kaaba named "KISWAH" will change every year on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, On the day of Arafat just after the Fajar prayer the work of changing Kiswah will start and continues till Asar prayer.

Kaaba Kiswah is made up of pure silk and the decoration of the Quran verses is done with gold and silver threads. It is manufactured in Kiswa factory at Umm Al Joud in the region of Makkah.

EID AL ADHA HOLIDAYS FOR BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, STOCK EXCHANGE & SOME BUSINESSES

The SAMA (Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority), Insurance companies, Saudi stock exchange and many businesses has announced Eid Al Adha holidays in the Kingdom applicable for all banks and financial companies. Most Viewed : When Eid Al Adha will celebrate in 2018

The Eid Al Adha holidays will begin from August 17th (Friday) till August 25th (Saturday), The banking sector will resume its work from Sunday that is 26th August. Trending :Kiswah - The black cloth of Kaaba

- The same holidays is applicable for Saudi stock market, trading will discontinue at the end of business on August 16 and resume to work after the holidays on August 26.

- However banks offices located near holy sites of Saudi Arabia will continue to work during the Hajj season as per the announcement of Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA). Read :Holidays in Saudi Arabia for 2018

- Makkah city and Madinah city banks, especially in populated areas will remain open even during the holidays including weekends like Friday and Saturday.

- Branches located in busy or populated areas like airports and various border crossings are also required to open during Eid holidays.

THE BLESSED DAY OF ARAFAT (ARAFAH)

The day of Arafat falls every year on the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah month (Hijri Calendar Last Month). This is the day when all the millions of Hajj pilgrims will gather at the plain of Arafat as it is mandatory ritual of Hajj, This year it would be on 21st August 2018.

Muslims all over the world who are not performing Hajj on the day of Arafah are recommended to fast, As Allah has prepared enormous reward for them. "Fasting on the Day of Arafat absolves the sins of the previous year and the following year" - Muslim. Recommended :Kaaba Kiswah Changing day

It is not mandatory to fast on Arafah day who are performing Hajj on this day. As the Prophet Mohammed(Peace Be Upon Him) did not fast on this day when he was on Arafat. See Also : When is Eid Al Adha

- Arafah day is a day of Forgiveness from sins, freedom from hell fire for the people who are on the plain of Arafat and for the people who cannot gather there. Similar :Saudi Eid Holidays

SUPREME COURT OF SAUDI ARABIA CALLED TO SIGHT THE CRESCENT ON SATURDAY EVENING

Supreme Court in Saudi Arabia called all Muslims for sighting the crescent of Dhu Al Hijjah on Saturday evening as per Saudi Press Agency report. Trending :SAMA announced 9 days holidays for banks to celebrate Eid Al Adha

- Whoever sights the crescent by naked eye or through binoculars can report in the nearest court and register his testimony.

- In case of the moon is sighted on Saturday evening, Sunday will be the first day of the last month of Hijri calendar that is Dhu Al Hijjah. Similarly, Eid Al Adha will fall on August 21 in this situation. See Also : The day of changing Kiswah the black cloth of Kaaba

- If the moon is not sighted on Saturday evening, The first day of Dhu Al Hijjah month will be on Monday, In this situation Eid Al Adha will be celebrated on August 22nd.

- 9th day of Dhu Al Hijjah is Arafah day, where all Haji's will be on mount Arafat to witness their Hajj. On the same day the Kiswah cloth of Kaaba will be changed with new one. Most viewed :The blessed day of Arafah

- The next day of it, Eid Al Adha will celebrated that is on 10th day of Dhu Al Hijjah. On this day Muslim families slaughter sheep following Prophet Ibrahim's devotion to God and his readiness to sacrifice his son.

BANGLADESH GOVERNMENT BUYS LAND IN JEDDAH TO BUILD ITS CONSULATE

- Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Joint Secretary of Finance ministry of Bangladesh, Director General of foreign ministry and other officials were present while the signing ceremony held in Jeddah city.

RESIDENTIAL RENTS ARE FALLING FAST IN SOME CITIES OF SAUDI ARABIA

As per the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Housing recent released report data, residential rent prices have dropped in the various cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Trending :Year wise Dependent tax on expat families living in Saudi Arabia

It may be good news for some but not for many, According to the report of Zawya, residential rents in Jeddah dropped by 7.9%, In Makkah by 3.8% and in Riyadh by 0.6% excluding utilities and other housing costs. Recommend :Year wise expat levy on companies in Saudi Arabia

- However, This is not the case in some cities as they saw an increase in rental prices, In Madinah the residential rents increased by 1.7% while in Dammam rents increased by 17.9%.

- This may be a transformation stage for some citizens as they can become owners of houses without paying rents through government support program provided by Ministry of Housing.
